iNoise 2026 Rev 1 Important Security Risk Bug Fix Released
iNoise 2026 rev 1 fixes a security risk issue where some iNoise components were affected by the CVE-2025-8088 (RARLAB Path Traversal) critical vulnerability. Although the security risk is very small, we strongly recommend that you update your iNoise to the latest version. The components affected are only used when calculating Harmonoise models. Your PC is only vulnerable if you have received an infected RAR component on your PC from another source as this component is not delivered by DGMR. It is safe for you to open projects to view models and results in older versions of iNoise. For an extra level of security with older versions of iNoise, we recommend that you delete the following files in your older iNoise program folder: ‘unrar.dll’, ‘unrar64.dll’ and ‘VA_P2P.DAT’.
This update reflects our policy of promptly acting on cybersecurity threats.
